Dr. Vivek Phakey graduated with First Class Honours from Monash University in 1984 and completed his ophthalmology training in Melbourne and Glasgow before establishing Waverley Eye Clinic in 1994.

Dr Tow Teck Lim graduated from University College, University of London in 1989. He trained in Ophthalmology at the University Hospital in Nottingham before migrating to Australia in 1996. Dr Lim completed his ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH) in 2001.
Dr Lim sits on the Specialist International Medical Graduate Committee at RANZCO, which assesses qualifications of overseas trained ophthalmologists wanting to practice in Australia.

Renuka Bathija is a general ophthalmologist with a sub-specialty interest in glaucoma. Renuka completed her ophthalmology training from Melbourne University and subsequently completed her Glaucoma fellowship at Shiley Eye Center (University of California, San Diego).
Dr Bathija has been consulting at Waverley Eye Clinic since 1998 and provides a wealth of experience in general ophthalmology and in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.

Dr Janice Thean graduated with first class honours from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1996 and was awarded the only medal in the undergraduate Ophthalmology Prize Exam. She trained in Ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH). She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. After completing her specialty fellowship exams in 2003, she spent an elective year at the RVEEH gaining further experience in cataract
surgery and was involved in high level research and teaching of ophthalmology specialty trainees. She has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals and has held consultant positions at the RVEEH and the Western General Hospital in Footscray.
Dr Thean is a general ophthalmologist who manages both adult and paediatric patients. Her main interest is cataract surgery including correction of astigmatism using Toric lenses. Dr. Thean also has interests including:
